Boundary Survey (Cut-Line)
Legally admissible cut-line surveys for farm blocks, mining concessions, forestry reserves and game areas.
A cut-line survey demarcates a boundary physically as well as on paper — a cleared, marked line across country, so the extent of a holding is visible on the ground to anyone standing on it.
This is the work large rural holdings depend on: farm blocks, mining licence areas, forestry reserves and game management areas, where boundaries run for kilometres through bush and there is nothing else to point at.
We run the line under GPS control, clear and mark it, and record it in a form that will stand up if the boundary is ever questioned.

Frequently asked questions
How wide is a cut-line?
Typically cleared just wide enough to walk and sight along, and to remain visible for a few seasons. The exact width depends on vegetation and on what the licence or client requires.
How long does a cut-line survey take?
It scales with distance and vegetation rather than area. Open country moves quickly; dense bush is slower because the clearing, not the measurement, sets the pace.
Will the line still be visible in a few years?
The cleared line closes over with regrowth, but the beacons and recorded coordinates remain. Re-clearing along the recorded line is straightforward when it is needed.
